When it comes to today’s television offerings, even 300 channels can’t deliver very much good programming. After a recent move to our new home we decided not to get cable. Yes, I miss a few good shows and of course the Food Network, but we signed up for Zip.ca and are working our way through a growing list of the movies, documentaries and even televisions shows we want to see.
When we’re not in the mood for a DVD or the one channel we do get, we turn to the internet. You Tube is one place we can go, but recently I came across Throwawayyourtv.com. I’m quite anxious to work my way through their Ten Top Must Watch Documentaries – all available for free online. Along with a one sentence categorization such as, “It’s all about politics” is a decent summary.
Exciting (and freaky according to some of these docs) times we live in!

I find this funny, because I just attempted to do the same thing at my new home. I didn’t see a reason to pay into the local monopoly run by the cable service, so it’s down to whatever channels the antenna picks up. I feel very free now… and unfortunately sucked deeper into my DVD obsession.

It may be the best site on the internet today. It gives you a condensed sampling of relevant issues of the day with editing and commentary that don’t waste your time. An educational experience, and time well spent.
