Apple INC clearly has a strong brand. The first word that comes to mind when I think of their products and designs is “clean.” Its powerful the values a brand can project without actually embodying them in their actions. I have learned that Apple is far from clean, their policies on chemicals used in their products disregard all of the environmental standards that their direct competitors have adopted.
This comprehensive website put together by Greenpeace, and designed to pull on the heart strings of Apple lovers, demonstrates how far behind Apple really is. The site also provides opportunities for Creatives who care to get involved and use their toxic tools (Macs) to spread the word.
I didn’t think it was possible, but I love Apple a little bit less right now.
