Shorpy isn’t just any photo blog, it showcases photos from the turn of the last century up to the early 1940s. Some of the images are fantastic, especially the ones from the 1940s. For some reason I never imagined photography that was 70 years old could be that sharp and vibrant. It sounds cliché but I really feel like I’ve stepped back in time as I browse the site. It also reminds me of looking through my grandfather’s photo albums from the late thirties.
