Museum Plagiarius

The world is filled with knock offs and copies, often called “homages” to a genre, style or designer, but let’s face it: they’re rip offs. But is that so bad? Does it render them irrelevant? Not really. In fact, when something is designed that well, perhaps it’s a compliment when someone copies your work.

There is a new museum dedicated to this issue in the German city of Solingen, near Cologne. Called The Museum Plagiarius, the collection contains 300 original items and their almost identical counterfeits. All under the watchful eye of Professor Busse. Wait…Busse? Uh-oh.
