CLIENT Kidd Pivot
DESCRIPTION Media Kit
OBJECTIVE Create a flexible identity and stationery system for this newly formed contemporary dance company.
APPROACH The visuals we created for this innovative contemporary dance company are based on the actual movement of the lead dancer, Crystal Pite. Inspired by videos of past performances, descriptions of the works and discussions with Crystal, we combined existing photography with our own illustrative artwork. The overall effect is an ethereal quality evocative of the powerful movements and emotion that is so fleeting in a live dance performance.
RESULTS Crystal was thrilled with the look of the materials, the delivery of which corresponded with the launch of Kidd Pivot’s first performance, Lost Action. Crystal has received much media attention locally and internationally, perhaps in part a result of the new media kit. Either way, Kidd Pivot has arrived.
