As regular readers know, we’re big fans of the late Mr. Hunter S. Thompson who took his own life on February 20th of this year. Turns out Thompson’s private memorial wil be as gonzo as his life, where his ashes will be shot over his ranch at sunset from a cannon atop a 45-metre tower resembling his “gonzo fist” emblem. The inivtation-only celebration of Thompson’s life on August 20th will consist of “spoken word and live entertainment”. Apparently, this is exactly what Thompson requested. Gonzo.
