Random surfing this morning turned up this fascinating look at how an entire airplane factory was camouflaged during WW2. Located in Burbank, the obvious solution was Hollywood-style trompe l’oeil to disguise the factory as an average civilian suburb. I suppose that might not work as well given today’s technologies of detection, etc., but brilliant thinking back then.
