Balloon Wayfinding

For the 2006 London Architecture Biennale Jason Bruges Studio created a unique wayfinding system consisting of pink weather balloons and strategically placed pavement graphics to guide visitors, draw their attention to surrounding buildings and lead them to event venues. It’s a fascinating way of considering the challenge of wayfinding and a far leap from the traditional mounted signs.

The Studio’s other work is worth checking out too. Very fun, exciting and often colourful work creating something of the unexpected in what would otherwise be dull environments.
